Recently, two types of intelligent satellite information processing payloads independently developed by the Space Optical Engineering Research Center of the School of Astronautics, led by Professor Qingyu Hou and Professor Jinnan Gong, were launched into aboard Communication Technology Test Satellites 21 and 22. The payloads were successfully powered on and are operating in orbit. They will support applications such as satellite communications, radio and television broadcasting, and data transmission, while also carrying out in-orbit testing of new technologies.

    The payloads developed by the Space Optical Engineering Research Center have now achieved 15 consecutive in-orbit tests and applications, contributing to breakthroughs in China’s intelligent satellite information processing technology.
