On April 10, a delegation from the School of Aerospace Engineering at Universiti Sains Malaysia visited SOA. A meeting was held in Room 3026 of the Mechanical Engineering Building. Dr. Elmi Bakar, Dean of the School of Aerospace Engineering, and Dr. Norizham Razak, Deputy Dean, along with Professor Zhi Xiyang, Deputy Dean of the school, attended the meeting, which was chaired by Professor Qu Zhenshen.

Professor Chen Yanhong gave an overview of the school, outlining its history, academic structure, faculty, research achievements, and educational programs. He noted that the school, as China’s first institution focused on cultivating high-level aerospace specialists and conducting advanced aerospace technology research, has developed deep strengths in areas such as control science and engineering, aerospace science and technology, and mechanics, and has achieved outstanding results in pioneering aerospace technologies.

Dr. Elmi Bakar introduced academic focus and research strengths of USM School of Aerospace Engineering, and noted the strong potential for collaboration with HIT SOA in aerospace technology and education.

During the discussion, both sides explored opportunities for collaboration in areas including program development, research, faculty and student exchanges, and joint education initiatives.
